VILLAGE PARTNERS
By the end of this decade 1 in 5 Americans will be 65 or older; in Pasadena, the percentage will be even higher. The majority of these older adults want to remain here, in their own homes, in a community that is familiar to them. In order to achieve this end, it is important to incorporate older adults into the life of the community, a process that benefits all of us in Pasadena, including the business community.
The business community of Pasadena understands that the community wide benefits that result when older adults are able to meet the challenges and opportunities of aging in the place they call home. Older adults are consumers, volunteers, and voters. They are invested in their community, appreciative of the resources it offers. By making use of the support and education provided by Pasadena Village our members are able to make informed decisions about their health, housing, and finances. They face the future with increased confidence and are able to remain in better health, delaying unwanted moves and preserving valuable resources.
With this shared understanding, the Pasadena Village has launched a Business Partnership Program with the aim of building relationships with local businesses that share our vision for our older community members. Business partners can invest in the Pasadena Village by sponsoring Pasadena Village educational programs, social and cultural activities, contributing to help recruit and support staff and volunteers, or helping to underwrite our occupancy costs.
Together with our partners, Pasadena Village can maximize the power of community to create society- wide change in the way we age. By joining together we can work to ensure that older adults have access to vibrant communities that enhance and expand the ways we can age well. Following is our list of Business partners.
