EZ WALKERS GO TO CHINATOWN
Inspired by Bill Jennings and Travel Buddies
EZ Walkers will take the Goldline Metro
from the Del Mar station in Pasadena
to Chinatown to walk, explore and have a
Dim Sum luncheon.
Plan is to depart Pasadena around 9:30am
arriving back to Pasadena around 1:00pm
Please note this walk will involve several miles.
Here's the information on our upcoming Chinatown walk.
We'll meet on April 18th at the Del Mar Metro Station at 9:25. Note it's just a few minutes earlier than usual. We'll take the Gold Line down to Chinatown (about 20 minutes).
I think everyone is familiar with the parking but just in case,
there is underground garage parking at the station.
Present your Tap card when leaving and parking will cost a princely $2.
We'll explore Chinatown perusing the sites and sidewalk vendors as we go. We may even spot some restaurants for future trips if this one works out well.
At 11:30 we'll go to CBS Seafood (700 N Spring Street) which, despite the name, is a great Dim Sum restaurant. We're eating early because it can get pretty crowded later. We will only get one bill and will divide it by the number of people to determine each person's share.
Finally, we'll walk just a couple of blocks up Spring Street to the Metro stop and return to Pasadena.
Please let me know if there are any questions.
Please contact Patrick Kincaid (626-316-3664, firstname.lastname@example.org)
if you would like to attend. As its name implies, this is easy walking for those who’d prefer something a bit more sedate than the excellent, energetic walks already available.
